Privacy Policy — Songs on the Frio

This Privacy Policy explains how the Songs on the Frio mobile app ("the App," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects your information. By using the App you agree to this policy.

Who we are

Information we collect

We only collect what's needed to run the App:

• Account information — when you create an account, we collect your email address and name (display name). Your password is handled securely by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see or store it.
• Notification token — if you enable push notifications, we store a device push token so we can send you festival updates.
• Your in-app activity — the shows/artists you mark as favorites, so we can show them back to you.
• Camera (gate staff only) — festival staff use the device camera to scan ticket QR codes at the gate. The camera reads the code in real time; no photos or images are taken or stored.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or browsing activity, and the App contains no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking.

Payments

Ticket sales are not enabled in this version of the App. If and when ticketing is enabled, payments are processed by Square, Inc.; payment card details are handled directly by Square and are not stored by us.

How we use your information

• To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
• To provide App features (schedule, favorites, your tickets).
• To send festival-related push notifications you've opted into.
• To validate tickets at the gate.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.

Service providers

We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, and Cloud Messaging) to operate the App's accounts, data storage, and notifications. Firebase processes data on our behalf under Google's security and privacy commitments. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. You can request that we delete your account and associated data at any time by emailing info@songsonthefrio.com; we will process the request within 30 days.

Children's privacy

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, an in-app notice.
